LEON — Website and 3D Door Configurator for a Premium Door Manufacturer

Situation, goals and challenges
LEON is a Polish manufacturer of modern premium doors — concealed, flush-to-wall, adjustable, and sliding systems. The company designs architectural solutions for individual clients, design studios, and general contractors.
Main goals: - build a website consistent with the minimalist design language of LEON's products - develop a 3D configurator that lets customers see doors in a realistic model and personalize models, panel variants, frames, colors and veneers, handles, opening direction, and custom dimensions - connect the configurator to a product and technical-variant database - ensure fast load times despite a large volume of 3D assets - lay the groundwork for future online sales
Biggest challenges: - organizing hundreds of product variants into a clear data structure - integrating Adobe Forge with WordPress and a backend API - optimizing 3D assets without hurting Core Web Vitals - designing a configurator UX that guides users step by step rather than overwhelming them
Scope and delivered functionality
Website (WordPress) - a modern, premium design matching LEON's product aesthetic - UX/UI built for a high-end audience — architects, developers, and premium retail partners - a layout built around large photography, hero transitions, and sections presenting each product line - modules including a door catalog, collections, presentations of concealed/flush/sliding systems, a partner area, downloadable materials (PDF, 3D, DWG), and an architect-focused blog/guide section
3D door configurator (Adobe Forge) The most advanced element of the project. Capabilities include: - a realistic 3D door model built on Adobe Forge / Autodesk Forge - live changes to model, opening direction, frame type, color/veneer/finish, handle and hardware, glazing, and dimensions (standard and custom) - dynamic texture and material rendering - automatic PDF generation summarizing the selected configuration - an API for retrieving variants and element availability - compatibility with the product database, with room to expand the collection - backend logic handling model relationships, compatibility rules, and installation constraints (e.g., concealed systems versus wall type) - a data structure built with future B2B sales use cases in mind
The result is comparable to configurators used by leading premium door brands.
Product data integration - a central database of door parameters - relationships between models, systems, and accessories - the ability to add new variants without disrupting the existing structure - an API feeding live data to the configurator
Performance optimization - minimized 3D asset sizes - WebP and lazy loading - caching of static texture variants - model compression - server-side rendering in WordPress for marketing sections - animation tuning for Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals scores
Results
- a modern website consistent with LEON's premium brand
- a 3D configurator that lets customers visualize doors realistically, compare styles and materials, and generate their own specification
- a shorter quoting process for the sales team
- fewer errors caused by incorrect configuration
- stronger support for architects and developers through clearer product presentation
- a data foundation ready to support future online sales, B2B integrations, expanded product catalogs, and in-showroom configurators
The tool positions LEON among the leading premium door manufacturers in its category.
